From animals to anemones,
Vertebrates to invertebrate,
shedding the spine out of sheer dysuse
Spine that was gained over eons of efforts
the evolution had put in.
Filling the torso shapeless
and the head that's out of space,
with too much of self,
assumed, imagined and memorized,
over lives frittered away unlived.
Turning a mammal into a coelenterate
A saucer or a tube for the body
may not be yet
But tentacles bearing the sting
already present
Only a matter of time
when the most sapient
will at once turn the clockwork and tide
becoming a jelly-fish rid of brain
floating in the brine of self.
Evolution working in reverse,
an anomaly made possible
by millennia of misuse and nonusage,
so blatantly and patently human,
who else?
