Down the memory lane,
up the nostalgia highway
On boughs hanging overhead,
in roots buried deep in years
I looked for one trace,
one sign to reminisce
At times a shadow would shine,
familiar yet strange
But never the exact shape
of that accident,
that absurdity
which I now forget
And just as I gave up
it came flooding my senses
The song I used to hum
gamboling back from her place
When we were both
young and stupid
and happy
as one can only be
in love
as we could
never again be
since
