Spelling the country without an o (in it)
Not a lapse of judgement
Or a case of dyslexia stretched far
But a manifesto, an agenda
A declaration of rebellion personal
Being politically wrong/ not right/ un-right
is when being politically correct
Raising one's head or voice
when belonging to a majority
Is a crime against humanity/ the rest
I was here only to recite poetry
Didn't know I had to be actively activist
about something I don't know or relate
or belong to/ identify with a community
confused about the body's/ bodily basics/ (bodily) identities
When implied is taken
and obvious overlooked
(Words bartered for cheap thrill)
and art pawned at the altar
of artifice
I am assured/ convinced
I'm a poet/ writer
two centuries too late
And a human regressed into normalcy
beyond cure/ repair/ hope
A misogynistic, pluralist or just an intolerant c*nt many such words cussive
may be chosen/ thrown at me
short of flogging
for being artist without agenda
one in love with art
for the sake of it/ art only
