'if' decided to find hope at 'once'

stumbling upon 'only'

that showed 'it' the way

to the abode of the twins,

'until' and 'unless'

Together as 'they' inched

toward conditional sense

'They' had lost meaning

and inherent plurality

turning singularly un-unique

adding to 'not only' conundrum (unwarranted)

'but also' conjectures (baseless)
