Nothing more than an unruly gawker
undeterred by its thorns un-enough
To the Roses blushing crimson
Carrying myself worse than awkward
a gait and existence leaving unimpressed
The Hibiscus strutting in elegance
Bearing silent witness
remaining ever the unjudging of my means
The Holy Basil standing in a corner
A predator that's hard to tell
from his tailed ancestors
To the Mango-tree laden with sweetness
A dwarf that's less than nothing
crawling along the crevices of earth
To the towering Banyan and Peepal
A complete stranger, a total nobody
On whom is lost
The trembling of Lotus leaf, the coyness of Jasmine
The bridge of exchanged oxygen
joining my evolved biology
to the nonchalant botany
remains thus crossed
only from
one side
