From the many drops of rain
that left the skies
and did not make it
to the earth, a brook or a river
Some caught on the boughs unawares
some scattered by winds fierce
some having snap frozen mid-descent
waiting to become a snowflake
singular, one of its kind
Those that did make it however
to the ponds, lakes, creeks and rivers
adding to their blithe and sweetness
Embracing the land parched for months
quenching its thirst to sate
the hunger of many who'll
reap of it at once
And some more that were left to roar,
burgeoning a storm at some sea
forced to become the brine yet again
from whence they had risen
to become the clouds, one to nine
What a waste of proportions oceanic
to rain atop an ocean or sea
As much as one claiming
to control and rule one's mind
When it is the mind that is
making one so (say or) see
