The inescapable, sky

It is there

always, everywhere

Even if you were

to not bother seeing

above you and beyond

below you and under

right, left, everywhere

every place without

and within as well

The silent witness,

the greatest indiscriminator

embracing you

and all that you know as world

Bearing testimony

to your triumphs and struggles

without mocking

or judging your ignorance

At times cast over

yet remaining ever the unmuddled

Clear as itself.

The sky that is

everything and nothing.

all and none.

all at the same time.

Hide as you may from it.

closing the blinds,

the eyes and the mind.

It will find you always.

For you're trapped within

that which is inescapably

nothing.
