Two poems here September 30, 1993 Memorable

Sun might have come up

lingered, loitered

or simply winked

and left

Earth sure would have not

missed a turn

although a tad restless

she did become

later that night

Moon would have made

its presence felt

or unfelt

depending on the time of month

Rained it would have somewhere

and in some place

perennial summer

continued unabated

Not one of the days

that knocked on the door

of my cognizance

or bothers now to ring a bell

Not a thing I remember

of the day

as ordinary as a day could be

until the fall of night

September 30, 1993

Cast aside unlived

left un-arrived

shadowed by a night

unending

too late to rise

for the many that didn't

get to see

October that year or any
