Autumn freezing into winter

Winter thawing unto spring

Spring flowing out to summer

Summer cooling down to autumn again

Seasons apace

without feet or intent

mocking my plight-

Hewed to the dregs of spite,

dragging me to resentment

Years stuck in one season,

unchanging climes of the mind.
